The Original CHAMBORD French Press Coffeemaker is now available in red! When Bodum took over a small clarinet factory in Normandy in 1982 it was not because of the fine orchestra clarinets they were producing but because of a relatively unknown coffee maker called the Chambord which they produced as well. The reason the French press coffeemaker has become one of the most popular coffeemakers in the world is pure and simple- taste. The materials are completely taste-free so nothing comes between your ground coffee beans. This is exactly the reason why coffee tasters use this method to determine the quality of coffee beans. The 3-part stainless steel plunger has a fine mesh filter which allows for a premium extraction of your coffee’s aromatic oils and subtle flavors. A mesh filter allows this flavor to be delivered direct to your cup and not absorbed by a paper filter. Plus no paper filter means no waste! The patented safety lid prevents the splashing of liquids while pressing. Simplicity works best and is the reason why the Chambord’s design has not changed a bit from its original drawing. The Red Chambord Coffeemaker is 8 cup (1.0 l 34 oz.)
- Make perfectly delicious full-flavored coffee in 4 minutes with Chambord French Press Coffeemaker now in red
- No electricity and no paper filters required; flavor delivered direct to cup not absorbed by paper filter; no paper filters means no waste
- 3-part stainless-steel plunger with fine mesh filter extracts coffee?s aromatic oils and subtle flavors
- Patented safety lid prevents splashing; 8-cup capacity (1.0 liter; 34 ounces)

This had made walking my 100# dog enjoyable
My dog is reasonably well behaved but the instant he sees another dog when we're out walking he pulls so hard I'm afraid he's going to damage my shoulders. I tried several different anti-pulling harnesses and collars and this one worked perfectly! At one point I tried the Gentle Leader head collar but my dog hated having something on his face so this harness version was much better for him. Since the leash attaches at the dog's chest and contracts if the dog pulls there are two benefits: (1) When the dog pulls the harness contracts around the front legs making walking awkward so it breaks their attention on whatever they were pulling towards and (2) since the leash attaches at the chest when the dog pulls it snaps him around to face you which gives you a chance to correct him and redirect his attention. Ultimately the dog's weight works against him versus the owner having to pull back. Now when my dog sees another dog and goes to pull he immediately stops and rethinks that move since he's instantly pulled around to face me without me having to do anything at all. A wonderful tool!

Set doesn't live up to KitchenAid standards.
I got a set just like this as a Christmas gift two years ago. I'm a fan of KitchenAid and I have a lot of appliances and gadgets from them but this particular set was a disappointment... maybe I just got a "lemon".
Within less than 6 months of use the nonstick coating on both pans started to chip off forming a couple of unsightly "holes" on the surface of the pans leaving me wondering if my family is ingesting tiny pieces of that coating with pancakes and omelets... The pans have never gone in the dishwasher (even though it says "dishwasher safe") and I only use wooden and silicone spatulas with them. I ended up throwing the two pans away shortly after since I didn't have a receipt or keep the warranty paperwork for it. The sauté pan while still in use and with the nonstick coating intact got warped after about a year balancing itself on one middle point on my flat top range... On the positive side the pots are still fine but I don't use them much the handles are very comfortable and the color adds to a cheerful kitchen.
Bottom line it's a nice "pretty" set but if you plan to actually cook in it I would not recommend it based on the experience I had with it.

Price value good but you can see why people LOVE Le Creuset.
The price can't be beat! $45 with free shipping is a great value regardless of what I write in this review. I was excited to open the box and loved the color immediately! I continued to be impressed by the weight of the pot. But after completely un packing I placed the lid on the pot and looked at my wife and said this is why a Le Creuset is $245 and this was only $45. The lid does not seal tightly and you need to rotate the lid to find the position where it seals best though it's still not 100% closer to 90%.
Would I buy it again? Probably. Would I have bought it in a store where the faults were clear before making the decision to purchase? Probably not. I just cannot justify the $200+ dollars for the "real deal".
I hope this helpful.
UPDATE: After using this dutch oven many times for a variety of dishes I would increase my rating to 4 stars. The initial dissappointment of the ill fitting lid has faded and what remains is a pot that does its job well and even out on my bakers rack next to a Le Creuset holds its own in terms of looks.

Mitts Like A Glove!
*Way* more flexible than the Orkas I tried out in a local kitchen store and slightly less expensive. With their cloth interiors they seem to grip to your hand better rendering a more secure feeling all the while providing adequate thermal resistance. They're long enough to provide good distal forearm protection (better than our previous all cloth model) and easy to clean up especially if you keep the inner linings grease free. I specifically purchased the 'electric blue' version to ensure compatibility with our electric oven and have not been disappointed (kidding... just KIDDING!(heh!))!

Not sexy but functional and dishwasher durable
We have used these glasses daily for several years for casual drinking. We have tall tippy more stylish ones for showy dinner parties that require hand washing. These in contrast not only fit the hand well but also the top shelf of the dishwasher and after countless cycles they are still shiny (not acquiring the "foggy" etched surface that all of our previous glasses did). This purchase was to replace broken glasses and to expand the collection. The size is an acceptable compromise for red and white wines but we prefer the Reidel Ouverture Magnums for reds. They too have proven to be dishwasher durable. A great product.

Best Indoor grill
I love this grill. I spent a lot of time researching indoor grills before I decided on the Minden. Make sure you heat up the grill very well before you put things on it.
Pros: -The food comes out tasting just like you had grilled it outside.
-Easy cleaning. Dishwasher safe and or pop in your self cleaning oven.
Cons: -The lid is not high enough. When I try to finish artichokes on the grill the lid is to small to cover them.
-It can create a lot of smoke and flare ups. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have lots of windows.

Versatile
This is indeed a large pot but I have found it extremely useful and use it at least once a week. I didn't want a large number of pots and pans so I looked for versatile pieces. We are just 2 in our household right now but I bought this size mostly because it will be even more useful for the future - a family company. I use it to cook many things that I start on the stovetop and finish in the oven. For example to brown chicken pieces on the stovetop add herbs ingredients etc and bake it in the oven. The heavy tight fitting lid keeps the steam locked in and the food moist. I bake entire chickens in it when I am short on time (skin isn't very crispy though)- it really cooks a whole 4-lb chicken in about half an hour at 450 degrees with the pot and oven preheated. Works great with chili soups beans tomato-based sauces even jams. The cast iron heats slow and holds heat in - I don't burn anything in this. Clean-up is so easy!

Simple reliable and durable
When I first started drinking wine a decade ago I thought it'd be kind of cool to buy a bunch of different wine glasses. You know the drill: smallish ones for white wines bigger ones for reds humongous ones for Bordeaux insanely large fishbowl-esque ones for Burgundy and so on and so forth. Although it's nice to whip out the big fancy ones for a special occasion I find myself returning to the Riedel Overture Magnum glasses again and again and again. Why? For one they're big enough to allow for some mighty swirling without splashing wine all over yourself (which is embarrassing). They're also durable enough to stand up to (ahem) drunken handling during boisterous dinner parties and/or hungover washing up the morning after. They've survived the dishwasher a couple of dozen times and still look good; they seem to do just fine with any kind of wine (except for dessert wines - if you start pouring half bottles into these things you run out too quickly). In short these are the glasses you'll wind up using nearly every time you drink wine. Don't worry about those ridiculous "Nebbiolo only" or whatever glasses that cost the earth and are more fragile than Kanye West's ego - just grab a set of these and get down to drinking. You won't regret it.

Nice and stiff and likeable!
Let's face it folks I bought this for the cute factor. HE'S ADORABLE! I was smitten and parked him on my counter to be displayed oggled and gawked at.
Such a cute red thing. Never did I think he would rise to the occasion and prove his worth. Glass Lids! OMG so hard to keep clean. A soft sponge wouldn't do. I needed some action and this little red devil got busy! Right under the rim. Rubbing and scrubbing like you wouldn't believe.
Those hard bristol's were better than brillo no scratches nothing forced
Just clean see through glass lids. Wow now I know the secrets this little guy holds. He ain't just another pretty face.

Brass Squeeze Valve
Disappointed I ordered a new valve and was sent a used valve. Though is appeared to be priced less than a new valve and functions it is not what I ordered. Additionally Sears sells not only a valve but also the propane torch and handle as a kit for considerable less than the recommended "package" on Amazon. Returning the package to Amazon would have incurred restocking charges that made it about an equal deal. Recommendation check Sears first.

Rolls Royce of Toasters
Dualit 4 Slice Toaster Red. Hand made in England. A mechanical lever to raise and lower bread/toast; a pull-out crumb tray; a mechanical timer with settings from 1 to just past 3. Very simple operation. Perfect toast every time-- *every* time. Wonder bread artisan bread toaster waffles muffin-- all perfect. Barely toasted for the kids nice and dark for dad. Outside stays cool no matter how much toast you make. One caveat: One of the slots looks like it's broken but it's not-- that's for smaller or irregular pieces. Comes many colors but red is beautiful. Yes I would buy this again-- but I'm not gonna need to.

Small kitchen woes
I have a very small kitchen with minimal counter top space. I had recently purchased a red toaster and was looking for a red bread box to match. Most bread boxes open outward which means it takes more space. but lo and behold at Amazon.com I saw this bright red bread box that has a roll back feature. I ordered it and it is such a clutter cure for all the bags of bread rolls muffins etc. that made my tiny counter top look messy. I rate it a 5 star product especially since the price was very reasonable.

Excellent for Bagels
This is the only toaster on the market that has a differential heating button (hotter on the inside heaters lesser on the outside heaters) to be used only for bagels. The cut side of the bagel (inside) will toast nicely whereas the uncut side (outside) will only warm. The bagel comes out perfect not rock hard which is often the case when it's been toasted on both sides.
My only disappointment with this toaster is how it toasts regular white bread/English Muffins. Since the bread is thin it is held too far away from the heating elements and it usually takes two attempts to get the bread actually toasted to anything more than just a light brown. If you want your toast darker you'll have to adjust your setting and then toast again.
If you are looking for a superb toaster for your bagels this is the one for you. But if you don't eat toasted bagels that often you would be better off with a more traditional toaster without the extra wide slats.More detail ...

Do not buy this toaster
I bought this toaster because I wanted something cheap and basic. Little did I know how bad a toaster could be.
The slots on this toaster are so narrow that anything except Wonderbread won't fit. Since I don't eat Wonderbread that means every time I put a piece of bread in it's at a weird canted angle and a quarter of it is actually sticking out from the toaster.
The electric cord is barely longer than the toaster itself which means I either have to get an extension to reach the outlet -- which is less than two feet away -- or turn the toaster backwards since the cord comes out of the front. A very poor design indeed.
To top it off the burn is uneven. The inside gets burned and the outside gets nothing.
Again: DO NOT BUY THIS TOASTER.

Smaller than U think flimsy
This step stool is not worth it - the steps that are shown extended in the photo connect only via a plastic groove in the red plastic cross bars shown on the legs of the stepstool. Therefore when you move the stool the steps flop along. You have to move them out yourself and put them back in yourself. They come off too easily so you are having to place them inside the groove whenever you move the stool/chair. The stool itself is very small and while this is OK for a stationary perching stool it is NOT good for a step stool and too small and uncomfortable as a seat.

A fine and non-obsolescent can opener
I purchased this can opener and I am very pleased with its design and functionality. It's attractive accommodates even large cans and does just what a can opener is supposed to do.
However I had another reason for buying a Westbend. Our previous can opener made by Rival stopped working. There was nothing wrong with the motor. The problem was simply that the cutting edge had become dull and slightly bent. We needed a new one. I contacted Rival -- was it under warranty they wanted to know? No it wasn't. Well then they explained there was nothing they could do to help me. I then searched the Internet hoping to find a 3rd-party manufacturer of can opener blades. No luck. So we had to throw out an almost-perfectly-good can opener. Three Bronx cheers for planned obsolescence.
This time when I went shoppping for a can opener I visited each manufacturer's Web site and you know what? Westbend -- and of the manufacturers I checked only Westbend -- sells replacement cutting blades for every one of their can openers.
So if you're ecologically minded or if you've reached an age where you're sick and tired of throwing things away consider a Westbend as your next can opener.

Works great! Fine craftsmanship! Very nice looking!
This is an excellent pepper mill that is very attractive on the counter top/workspace as well as on the table. It is very easy to use: a fine grind and increments all way to very coarse--just by turning the top knob. I found it easy to load. I've used this for about 3 months and have encountered no problems whatsoever. I predict it will last 3-4 years working at top performance. A good number for a pepper mill. Then it will be time to get another and I would definitely buy another Peugeot.
